The Team
We are very lucky to have the beginning of an eclectic team of writers here at Venntertainment. If you think you’ve got what it takes to write for us here, and a topic that you have a particular expertise or interest in, send me an email and everyone will be considered. If you’re any good, then you never know, you might be joining out team
Here’s our talented team as it stands:
Rob Cumiskey
Editor-in-Chief / Producer – Co-Presenter of The Venntertainment Show
Expertise: Social Media/Viral Marketing, Films, Music, Comics
Rob is the man with the plan. Venntertainment began as his solo project in early 2009 as an outlet for him to write about the things in life that he feels our worth shouting about.
Rob is a musician (playing bass for Dublin bands Pony Club and The Kybosh), Podcaster presenter (2XM/Venntertainment), Producer (Annville Films) and Blogger (Culch.ie and here on Venntertainment).
He also is a Digital Marketing and Media Consultant and has worked for clients such as Connector.ie, TheChurch.ie, Uchoose.ie and OneRiot.com.
Anthony Doyle
Blogger / Producer – Co-Presenter of The Venntertainment Show
Expertise: Media and Sarcasm
Anthony is a media graduate who splits his time between TV production, radio presenting, drumming for The Kybosh and playing GAA.
Did you know that Anthony was the first person from Wicklow to ever fly solo over the Atlantic? (No reference available)
Luke Mollan
Expertise: Music, Books, Cycling
Luke writes about music mostly, but also covers books and sometimes adds to his very popular ‘Urban Cyclist’s Guide’. He describes himself as:
“Music geek; bookshop monkey; aggressive cyclist.”
Paul Hickey
Expertise: Video Games – PS3, Wii, Xbox 360
Paul is our resident gaming expert and writes expertly about new and old games that he loves and hates on all formats. He is also a Superman fanatic.
Donal Cumiskey
Expertise: Books, Music, Film
Rob’s brother, Donal, has recently joined the Venntertainment ranks and describes himself as the following:
Donal Cumiskey is a Law graduate from UCD. He lives in South County Dublin and writes for Children’s Books Ireland’s quarterly magazine, Inis. He is passionate about children’s literature, music, and film, and his love for old school cartoons grows every minute. He fervently believes he wasn’t made for these times and he should have lived through either the 1920s or the 1950s.
