I’ve been follwing the development of the ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ remake for quite some time. The main reason that I have said nothing about it is because of the likelihood that it is going to be really, really bad. We’ve seen horror greats like Halloween, Friday the 13th and many more be completely and [...]

I was treated to a lovely wine reception followed by a special preview of the upcoming comedy, Zombieland the other night by the fabulous folk at Sony. My thanks go to Orla and Barbara Murphy for sorting me out with tickets.

Welcome to The Famous Five No.4 – Since the dawn of film, cinema has always looked eagerly to the novel for inspiration. Almost every single Hitchcock film is based on a book or short story. The Harry Potter books continue to transform magically into big budget gold dust, but nowadays film has its eye firmly [...]
So I went to see Public Enemies last night.
It was ok. But I’m not quite sure it deserves the reviews that it’s been getting. Sure, it’s Michael Mann on form, but it ain’t a patch on Heat.
Johnny Depp inevitably plays, Johnny Depp. Christian Bale plays, Christian Bale. The only actor that really stretched herself was [...]

Good Morning and hello,
Browsing Total Film today, I found a recommendation for the following site. It’s a fantastic Pop Artist called Mari Kasurinen. She has come up with a great idea where she sculpts My Little Ponies into famous characters from Pop Culture. I fell in love with this one:

ANDREI TARKOVSKY – THROUGH THE ARTIST EYE
by Jessie Emkic
Found this on a very cool blog called The Transport and it covers exactly what I was saying about Watchmen being ‘translated’ from the comic book form onto celluloid. The message is lost in the conversion of formats, like a translated poem or subtitled film [...]

Good Morning to you all!
Already we find ourselves at Tuesday, and a dull Tuesday it is. I hate the morning commute on days like today. The bus is always way more packed and as a result, it goes twice as slow…blah…Where do these people come from, when the weather isn’t as good? They hardly walk [...]
