Arthur’s Day at The Church

by Rob C on September 25, 2009

Thought I’d write a few words on what I got up to yesterday. I was very kindly given tickets to The Church’s Guinness Celebrations by Brendan and the lovely folk there, so I made my way up with some friends for around the 5.30 mark. The place was only hopping!

First of all, there was ‘The Toast’! See the video below for an idea of what that was like:

Then we had the very excellent Spring Break, an 80s covers band, followed by The Dying Seconds – an electro/post punk band with a fair bit of potential me thinks.

The Dying Seconds

We had been told about the Mystery acts that would be playing around the city at various venues, and rumours were rife about who would be gracing us with their presence. At close to 11pm, Kasabian stormed into The Church to the delight of a packed bar and rocked us with a great set to top off an already wonderful night.

Kasabian - You can see a head up there somewhere ;-)

Thanks again to the crew at The Church for having us, and check over at connector.ie for some more thoughts and pics from Arthur’s Day. I’ll update this post with new pics as I get them.

Where did you spend your Arthur’s Day?
